It's almost the end! Day 11: 12 days of Blogmas!

Hey guys,

I have to say this, 'Happy Christmas Eve Eve'!

I can't even believe it, I know I probably said this in all of my posts but I really can't believe it. I'm really excited for Christmas, or even Samantha's birthday tomorrow as I will try my hardest to make it special... But I don't feel too Christmassy? I can't explain it. I guess it's because I'm getting older but still. I mean, I usually still try to go to sleep early for Christmas so that I don't see any presents being transferred. Kinda so the magic is still there but that's hard when your parents aren't quiet with the bags. Still, I try.

I guess that's one thing I miss about being young - having something to believe in, some magic. Now it's all about finding a job, finishing education, getting a career, growing up and such. Why can't the magic last forever?

This is probably going to be the last Christmassy post for blogmas as tomorrow is my sisters birthday (as mentioned above lmao) so we focus on that rather than Christmas. I would say I'm sorry but I'm not, that's just how we do things. Plus I'm sure you guys don't mind as I didn't even have a Christmassy topic for today nevermind tomorrow haha!

I can't believe this will all be over soon and Things go back to normal. I find it so strang how one minute its Christmas everywhere and then all of a sudden it's like nothing happened. I wish it lasted longer. Maybe you agree maybe you don't. Who knows. I'm already dreading summer again....

I don't really know what else to say. Like I said, I didn't really have a topic except for the magic disappearing and that didn't last long. I am sorry. It's only two sleeps until Christmas now so I hope you're all feeling festive, I haven't even watched one Christmas film yet! Oops. I hope your wrapping is going okay, I hardly put any effort in this year but oh well!

Merry Christmas.

The Big food shop! Day 10: 12 days of blogmas!

Hey guys,

It's Christmas Eve Eve Eve! I know, I know... some of you hate me but there's some of you who have been thinking the same. Go on, admit it. I'm so excited but maybe that's because my birthday will soon follow which I am absolutely buzzing for. Anyways...

Today, my mum and I did our 'big Christmas food' shop. We each had a big trolley and had to wrestle people for cheese. Not literally, obviously but close.

After a while the trolley's get hard to push or they start to go to one side so turning the god damn corners while a middle aged angry man is also trying to get the other way, was definitely interesting. I must say though that it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would have been. Especially because there were still food on the shelves.

Overall it was a breeze, considering the time of year. I cant complain I really cant.

I love this time of year. I know it's probably weird and I'm not sure if anyone else feels like this but you have a full fridge. Like a FULL fridge and I love it. I feel so grateful that we can do that and appreciate it but I think it's wonderful and maybe slightly satisfying?!

My mum also let me have a gingerbread house kit so I couldn't wait to do it. It was a masterpiece and I love it. My sister also told me that you're supposed to save them until Christmas day... I had already started eating the roof! So that was a problem. Oh well.

I will obviously include photos for you guys that are interested in my artistic abilities.... - that I don't really have.

I guess that's really everything I have to say. I thought I would've had more to complain about but like I said, it was a breeze. So sorry for that. It's almost Christmas time though! Yay!

Merry Christmas.

My Go To Red Lip! Day 9: 12 Days Of Blogmas!

Hey guys,

This post is going to be really short, I'm sorry. I'm running out of ideas! And too be fair, there's not much to say about the subject. I hope you guys understand.

So I don't really wear red lips as I just haven't found a decent red lipstick that lasts all day. I love mattes just because they last longer. However I love the glossy look lately. We had an exhibition thing at my college recently and I wore a glossy lip and loved it! I didn't know I would be eating afterwards though...
However, the lipstick pulled through! I full on scoffed a McDonald's and it did pretty well considering it isn't a liquid lipstick.

I must say though that I think it was mainly the lip liner that lasted. The lipstick does move about so much, it was on my teeth in minutes of applying but maybe that's just because I'm not used to it.

So my favourite go to glossy lip is the Maybelline Coloursensational lipstick in '547/Pleasure Me Red' with a '021' Rimmel London lip pencil. They work lovely for photos, especially this time of year.

The next product is a liquid lipstick, which is also from the drugstore. I haven't quite made up my mind about this yet but I will mention it anyway. The Sleek, Matte Me Lip Cream in the shade 'Fired Up'. It is such a wonderful colour. Just the Christmassy red I personally love. Although the formula is very drying and it dries very quickly, So you have to put it on in sections otherwise it will be patchy. I do also sometimes use the same liner with this but its not that necessary as it doesn't 'bleed' like a normal lipstick does.

I don't have any photos of the Matte Me lipstick but I do of the Maybelline one, which I will leave below. I did use the Matte Me in my Villians/Superhero look a while ago which I will link HERE, but you cant really see it that well.

Kind of a rubbish picture but hey ho.

I guess that's all for this post, but I did say it would be short. I know a topic on what to do tomorrow so that's all sorted - Thank God. Can I just say...It's almost my birthday and I'm so excited! Not that, it has anything to this post what so ever but still, buzzing. I hope you guys are feeling super festive by now, its only 4 sleeps (when I'm writing this)!

Merry Christmas.

£15 or less party dress finds! Day 8: 12 Days Of Blogmas.

Hey guys,

I hope you're proud of me, I thought of this all by myself! Obviously other people will have done this or something similar but anyways...
In this post I will be giving a list of party outfits that are suitable for this festive season. I mean, they will be good for the whole year round but I will only include dresses that cost £15 or less. Who has money around this time of year? Now, I probably wont own most of these although I will add two that I bought for this time of year so I can only speak on quality for them. But the shops I will focus on are New Look, Asos and Boohoo as these are the normal shops I would go to. I will also leave a range from plus size down to petite so that there is hopefully something for everyone.
Here we go!

Dress number 1: So beautiful! As you can see they have a good range of size and colours on this dress but personally I prefer the 'Berry' as it very festive.

Dress number 2: This is also so pretty! Although personally I do prefer the one above. This is a plus size dress which is handy as I find skater style dresses to be more flattering (I am plus size).

Dress number 3: The last one from Boohoo, but it is just stunning. I'm pretty sure this is suitable for petite sizes however it only starts at an 8. I'm sorry! But it sure does shout CHRISTMAS to me! I wish I was confident enough to even think of something like this!

Dress number 4: This is from New Look and it is really the only one that appealed to me. But look at it! It is so fancy but so subtle. This is definitely perfect for a party! They also have quite a range of sizes of this dress too which is nice.

Unfortunately that's all I could find! I could probably find more but I just kept seeing the same styles, especially bodycon dresses. So I thought I would leave it at that. At the moment, Boohoo have a 50% off party wear offer and New look have a similar offer so be sure to check them out as you mind find that last minute dress in the sales! Good luck.
I hope you found something you liked or maybe an idea of a style you would want. Maybe you did, maybe you didn't. If you didn't, sorry!

Merry Christmas.

Day 7: The Christmas Tag

The Christmas Tag! Day 7 :12 Days of Blogmas!

Hey guys,

As you can tell by the title, I have decided to do The Christmas Tag. Now, it would have probably been better uploaded closer to the day but where's the fun in that?! I know, so reckless...
I found a blog with the two variations of the questions which I will leave linked HERE, so if you guys also do this, be sure to leave a link in the comments. Also, you can mix and match the questions so I may do this. We will see, lets just get right to it shall we?

1. What is your favourite Christmas film?
My favourite Christmas film would probably have to either be Elf, or The Grinch. I guess it depends on what mood I'm in. I have a post on my favourite ones to watch so I will link this here!

2. Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Not of what I can remember. Although I think it snowed on boxing day one year but that doesn't even count. I have always wanted snow on Christmas, maybe soon eh?

3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
At home, always. That's just how we've always done it. Christmas is for family, sometimes one of my friends comes to drop off presents but its mostly family. Although I must say that I hope to spend Christmas and the new year (AKA my birthday) in New York one year. I think a lot of people dream of this too so I wont go into details why...

4. What is your favourite Christmas song?
I also have a post on this (linked HERE), but for this year I would probably say Leona Lewis - One More Sleep. Every year, a certain song is my favourite and is 'the' song that makes me feel festive. I don't know why but that's how my brain works haha. I know last year it was Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You, which is still a fave.

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
NO. And to be fair I don't think I would want to. I like to go downstairs and see the presents for the first time on Christmas morning. As its also my sisters birthday its not fair. That's her day. I wouldn't want someone to open presents on my birthday (unless its theirs too obviously!).

6. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
Maybe, I promise I wont look them up either. Dancer, Prancer, Dasher, Blitzen...Rudolf. That's all I can think of so no. I need to check now, other wise I will go insane...Damn! Vixen, Comet, Cupid, and Donner. I can't believe I forgot them! Oops.

7. Is your tree real or fake?
This year it is fake. But I don't mind because its in my room so I feel extra festive. Also I had a real one last year so I cant complain. I do prefer real trees though!

8. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
It depends who they're for. I love buying for  my family, especially my mum and also one of my friends because I like to try and spoil her (I hope she knows who she is..).  I think its because it's easier to buy for them. Although I love being spoilt so I guess it's equal to be fair. If I'm proud of the gift I have chosen, I prefer that.

9. Are you a pro-present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
I like to think I'm good but I definitely fail miserably. Either last year or the year before I put so much effort into it. I got brown paper, red and white string and cute tags. Though this year I'm going to be lazy because I deserve a break, and it will probably be a huge mess.

10. What makes the holidays special for you?
The first thing that springs to mind is the dinner. Or though not so much now. In past years my momma would come down so we'd have a full table. Having family around the same table is really special for me. We used to play games like Uno and it used to be the best part of the day. Even over all the presents which were a close second of course. I cant explain it. I think when I'm older in my own home, the dinner will still be my favourite thing.

I'm going to cut the questions off there because why not. I did switch them up a little but I guess it doesn't really make a difference to you guys. I do apologise for not being as organised this year as I was last year with blogmas. God knows what I will write tomorrow...

Merry Christmas.

Ulitimate Christmas playlist! Day 6: 12 Days Of Blogmas

Hey guys,

I still haven't pre written anything. ha ha. I don't even know why, I just feel so unmotivated with everything at the moment. Plus, it doesn't help that these posts don't do well anyway. But still, I would hate to miss a day so here I am. I will be giving you a list of my absolute favourite Christmas songs that get me feeling the most festive. Now, I'm pretty sure you all know all of them but my favourites change each year so here we go...

8 Days of Christmas - Destiny's child

These are just all of my favourites, I obviously listen to more but these are the 'most played'. And I am sorry that this post isn't that long, there's not really much to say but song titles so I hope you all understand.

Merry Christmas.

How to be festive! Day 5: 12 Days Of Blogmas

Hey guys,

So, you know in yesterday's post (you can read HERE) I mentioned about pre-writing today, yeah well... I haven't. Oops.  I am currently writing this in my local, the things I do for this blog. I hope you guys appreciate this.

Anyway, I was stuck on the topic for today so my sister suggested about Christmas jumpers. That's what this will be haha.

On Friday I wore a bright and bold Christmas jumper thinking everyone else would too. Boy was I wrong. Some wore Christmassy tees and jumpers but mine was bright blue, I felt like I stood out. I'm not sure whether I liked or hated it. But I did sure feel festive.

If you guys haven't wore a Christmas jumper yet, why not?! You'll feel super ready for Christmas and  will look cute at the same time. It's a win win situation.

Something else that will make you feel festive is watching Christmas films. I did a post on my favourite yesterday, so if you want recommendations, click the link I mentioned above.

Similarly you can also listen to a bunch of Christmas songs. Spoiler, I will be doing a post on this soon but I'm sure you all know the basic ones. If this doesn't make you feel festive, I don't know what will.

You could also have a Christmas party with your friends and family, it's never too early. Have a fully on buffet with Christmas themed foods, music, Christmas attire that is essential. Everybody and their dog could come along, doesn't that sound fun?!

Ali's if you haven't already, out up your Christmas decorations, last year I did a few ways you can decorate your room, which again, you can read HERE. Then when you wake up, you will see CHRISTMAS. If that doesn't work, I don't know what will.

I know this post has been a bit messy and quite frankly rubbish, but I hope you guys enjoyed reading nonetheless. If not, apologies. I hope you're all excited for Christmas, I am!

Merry Christmas,

My Top Christmas Films! Day 4: 12 Days of Blogmas.

Hey guys,

So I thought by the forth day of this, I really should have got my act together, however I obviously haven't. Today was my last day at college for the holidays so I can now pre-write some tomorrow as I have more time. So look forward to maybe earlier posts! Sorry you night owls!

Anyway, for this post (which I also did last year) I will list some of my favourite Christmas films. There's a lot I haven't seen or don't remember so I'm hoping this year I can finally watch new ones. if you have any recommendations, please let me know!

Now, I think the best way to do this is in a list - mainly just because I love making lists. Moving on..

1. Elf
2. Jingle All The Way
3. It's A Wonderful Life
4. The Grinch
5. The Santa Clause

I also have heard Love Actually is good so I may have to give that a watch this year, and I haven't seen Home Alone since I was little so this will definitely be watched this year.

They're all the films I could think of but I hope his helped maybe one of you. Get one of these bad boys on, with your choice of sweets, hot chocolate and a blanket (maybe a pet because why not?) and really get into the Christmas spirit. I actually can't even believe how quickly it is approaching. It'll soon be my birthday too! I love December! Haha.

Anyways I guess that's all for this post. There's not really much I can say about the films but I hope you're all beginning to feel super festive. I know I am.

Merry Christmas.

Christmas Makeup & nails. Day 3: 12 days of Blogmas!

Hey guys,

So, today I have felt vey festive. Like very festive. I had college today but we didn't do any work ( we set up our exhibition) and we got to leave over and hour early. I took this chance to look for some baubles and a Christmas jumper, did I find any...? NO. Still, I bough flowers and iced fingers for my mum and doughnuts for my dad, sister and I. Because I wasn't just buying for myself, it made me feel ever so more Christmassy.

I may have to use an old Christmas jumper tomorrow but I do feel very festive. When I got home applied some red-ish toned makeup ready for going back to college (the exhibition), so I will include a photo below. I used all drugstore brands - obviously, I can even barely afford them...
I also love how I put gold shimmer in the inner corner and dragged it into the crease slightly (like I did with the Ravenclaw makeup which you can read HERE. I think the red and gold compliment each other and really shouts YAY CHRISTMAS. I must say that I have changed my lipstick, for no apparent reason, to Bourjois, Plum Plum Girl and it suits the looks very well. I would definitely reach for this for this festive season.

I am currently in the process of painting my nails for tomorrow, as its the last day at college for the holidays. I like to make an effort, what can I say. I am using Barry M, matte nail paint in 'Crush/551'. And I'm also thinking of adding blue and white snowflakes, just with some of Primark's nail polish. I will also include a photo of this below. Although I must apologise, it is late and I keep shaking for some strange reason. But here it goes.

ew, awful nails.

Well, that didn't go well at all. I forgot I don't have any professional tools to do nice little snowflakes, they just look like a messy blobs. I will include a picture because they're making me chuckle just looking at them. Not even joking.

This post was mainly to give a little inspiration for creativity. I mean, I just tried painting snowflakes with a nail file.. why not try something new too. go bold for makeup or even tone it down. Something out of your comfort zone. I'm still going to keep my nail polish on because in stead of having an 'Ugly Christmas Jumper' I have 'Ugly Christmas Nail Art'. I'm pretty sure it'll catch on... Haha.

Any who, I'm going to hopefully sleep now so that I'm not too tired for tomorrow, hopefully it'll go by quickly. Fingers Crossed. Also before I finish this post, I have been using a new drawing app on my iPad and wanted to share something I drew today. I love it, and hope you guys do too!

Merry Christmas.

Childhood Christmas & Traditions! : Blogmas Day 2.

Hey guys,

Gosh I wish I had pre-written...I am deeply sorry for the late uploads but I guess you're all used to it!

This festive post is all about Christmas traditions, mainly anyway. I have a photo from a good few years ago, from when I was younger. I will include it later on but it made me think of all of the other things people do on the day. For us, we would always have to get dressed (sometimes we could get away with this), wash and brush our teeth and also have breakfast while everyone else were getting up. This was torture as a child, like LET ME GET MY PRESENTS. My mum also likes to spoil us so I would always look forward to seeing my pile. Although, despite having a bigger pile, it didn't mean that my mum spent lots on presents which I like.

Who thought it was a good idea to give me those scissors?!

As more of an adult I have to look at the prices more now (lucky me..), so I can actually look back and see that you can actually make someone feel spoilt and happy with even a little budget. I am hoping to do a Gift Guide later on in the posts (so keep an eye out), I say later on because I still need some presents...OOPS.

Back to the day, after all of the presents we would have a little time to open them and such maybe a little play before taking them upstairs to be put away. Although I was able to keep most downstairs as I would show my momma my new toys. Now she has Alzheimer's I don't get to do that anymore, granted I don't get stuff like that anymore - haha - but still.
Lets be honest here for a second. The Christmas dinner never disappoints. Although it's not the same without the whole family but still, absolutely delicious.

I don't really remember the evenings but I suppose this was when I played a CD and crafted with my mum in the kitchen while, my sister and dad would watch a new film in the living room. I love how simple things are all day but it is still awesome. I'd love to know what traditions you have or if you remember a certain Christmas - leave in comments obviously.

I hope you're all super excited for Christmas, and keeping up with your advent calendar's! I keep forgetting! Oh well.

Merry Christmas.

12 DAYS OF BLOGMAS!

Hey guys,

I told you I'd be back didn't I? I can't believe I'm already doing Blogmas again. It's coming so quickly! Anyway, if you cant already tell, I haven't been as organised this year and pre planned anything. I do have an idea for the posts, I'm not stupid believe it or not, but because this is 'an introductory' post, why not just wing it?

As today is the 13th, our family normally puts up our tree today. However because our living room is preoccupied which you can read about here, we don't have anywhere for our tree to go this year.
After some thought I asked about the top of the stairs/the landing as we have a little space where it could go, I also suggested having one in my room (because obviously). My mum and dad, went out and bought a new tree for my room. I decided on a 6ft white one as I have a white room and didn't want a dark colour. I still need baubles and tinsel etc but I shall find some!

For the meantime I had one strip of tinsel and I have tried to just put it at the front, it doesn't look good but it makes me smile. I guess that's all that matters. I also paper clipped a photo of me with galaxy makeup to the top to represent a star. I found it funny haha. I may or may not switch it to a star when I buy one, who knows. It could be funny to keep it up.

I love putting the tree up for Christmas. Granted, this is basically just a tree as there's nothing really Christmassy about it but I still enjoyed it. I had my Christmas playlist on Spotify playing, having a little dance here and there. And even though my family weren't in the room, it still made me feel festive and happy. Sorry guys, haha. What my point is, is that yes, it is lovely to be around love ones around this festive time but it can also be nice on your own. Not talking about being anti-social but if you have lost someone recently or live alone for example, you are still allowed to enjoy it. I hope you all do.

I hope you're all excited for the upcoming blogposts and the festive season. I'll see you guys tomorrow!

Merry Christmas.

Jobs!

Hey guys,

As it is almost time for me to start the 12 days of Blogmas, I didn't want to do anything related to Christmas.
So why not have a little rant? Honestly, its like a hobby to me. Haha. It probably wont be a long post this week but is it ever? Not that I'm sorry it's short because I'm really not. I simply post what I feel like.

Right, lets just jump right in. I'm currently 17 years of age(almost 18 waheey) and trying to get a job. I hate it. I have handed out several CV's - I say several because now-a-days everything is done online.

Why do companies make it so difficult to apply to a simple job? Honestly, to apply for one job, I had to create a profile, add my CV to my profile and fill in the blanks, which by the way are questions that can be answered if you looked at my CV. It is so utterly stupid. Even now I get emails from this company (don't want to say names because lol) suggesting jobs, which yes is really useful and awesome but are for places that I have never even heard of. I'm a student, why would I pay for a train ticket to the bottom of the country for minimum wage? Its like they don't even bother reading any information you put into this 'profile'.

For some jobs you complete an online interview - that's the only way I can explain it. They give you scenarios, don't get me wrong this obviously helps the employer to find someone more suitable for the job, however aren't they supposed to run you through the whole job, which includes how to deal with certain situations etc? Because that's how I thought it worked. They say 'full training given' yet if you don't pass this 'online interview' thing, it tells you 'sorry, it looks like you aren't suitable for this job, please wait 6 months to re-apply'. Seriously?! They didn't even look at my GCSE's (not that I didn't already know these were useless..) I have decent grades for god sake, I worked hard for those so why aren't they even considered?

Also, I'm a nice person. Polite, considerate and what not, yet that doesn't matter. I don't understand. If I am, overall, a decent person, with decent qualifications/grades, who is willing to work and learn...why shouldn't I be given a chance before they say no? It honestly baffles me. I know, some people have it worse and I'm not saying it's the end of the world or whatever but it's just so frustrating. If anything, they should teach people in school how hard it is, not bloody Pythagoras' theorem. Geez.

I know this has been all over the place but that's what happens when you ramble, as I'm sure you're all aware. its just a pain in the ass and I wish it was how it used to be, dropping a CV in and then either having or not having an interview. Anyway, Tuesday will be when my 12 days of Blogmas starts so be sure to check back then.

Be sure to tell me in the comments if you guys have a job or if you are finding it difficult too. I love a good discussion!

Edge of 17 & My Sister is Back!

Hey guys,

I guess this is a little catch up post but not at the same time. I actually have an idea of what to say, thanks to my mums suggestions haha. I don't know whether you have noticed but I haven't been uploading on Thursdays lately. Mainly because college work is constantly being set, definitely more than what I had last year so I'm either doing that or stressing about it while playing the xbox. No joke lmao. This doesn't really class as another reason but my sister has temporarily moved back in. So we've all been super stressed and such like. The extra bloggings days were the least of my concerns.

As much as I love all of the #BeautiesOnFire gang, its just been too hectic in the Hardwick household to think about those posts. I do definitely hope to do them sometime soon. And before I move on and explain more, yes I am doing Blogmas but only the 12 days leading until the day the man in the red suit comes. I wanted to stretch out of my comfort zone this year and do the 24/25 days but it would just be too much. So yeah, I am still trying my hardest (as I always will) to have my blog as a top priority.

Okay, I know the organisation of this post isn't great but anyways. Yesterday I saw 'The Edge of 17' with Lia and Lizzie. Aka the chums had a reunion and it was absolutely amazing. They both go to sixth form which means I don't see them like I used to in school. Lia also has two jobs so its hard to see them just because of scheduling. But the film was brilliant, I couldn't stop laughing. I love Hailee Steinfeld, her acting and music. And she acted the part so incredibly well. I was worried it would 'try too hard' to be relatable but it wasn't. I could relate, being a 17 year old myself (NOT FOR LONG YAY) but it wasn't too much. I cant really do the film justice, you should just go and see it. If its your sort of thing anyway. Even if its not, you may find it funny because it truly is hilarious. Please give it a chance. 5/5 from me.

Even the McDonald's trip afterwards was worth it for me. The three of us had such a laugh about pretty much everything and I haven't laughed like that for a while. It reminded me how important GOOD friends are to have. Love you guys.

It was also nice to have my mind off college or things at home. Granted I quite like going to college and being at home isn't that stressful. But it can be overwhelming to me. My sister moved out when I was still a child. I remember her living here but not necessarily her way of living or whatever. Things you wouldn't remember. So its like a whole new experience. I also wouldn't say I'm that good with change. I never really have. Maybe it's from past experiences - which I don't know whether my family have thought about but I definitely have. Its just so very overwhelming. maybe ill crack, maybe I wont. But all the changes are more minor now so everything is easier. I am actually pretty sure that's the main thing that bothers me. Getting used to something new. Something I cant really have any control in. I know you're reading Samantha, I don't want you to think that I don't love you being here because I do. Its just a lot happening. That's all.

I don't really know what else to say. Hooray to Scarlett winning I'm A Celebrity! I wanted her or Joel so I'm very satisfied. Well done to them both. But yes, I will see you guys soon! Maybe with a Thursday post! - hopefully but no promises.

November Playlist: What I'm listening too.

Hey guys,

In this post I am going to give you my updated list of music that I am currently listening to. I know I did this a while ago, but the music has changed a lot from then and I also had no other ideas for a blog post for today. PLEASE leave some suggestions in the comments. If you have questions, topics or anything, I beg for you to tell me.

Anyways.. I noticed that I had been listening to the same music on my Spotify playlist for ages so I decided to try the Top 50, and even  the Now 95 playlist to try and find some new tunes, and may I say, I found a lot! A while back I thought music was starting to go downhill but it's certainly not. Here are some of my favourites below.

Charlie Puth - Dangerously
James TW - When You Love Someone
Charli XCX - After The Afterparty feat. Lil Yachty
Shawn Mendes - Mercy
Maroon 5 - Don't Wanna Know
Clean Bandit - Rockabye ft. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie
The Chainsmokers - Closer ft. Halsey
Ariana Grande - Side To Side ft. Nicki Minaj
Hailee Steinfeld, Grey - Starving ft. Zedd
Hailee Steinfeld - You're Such A
Anne-Marie - Alarm

Meghan Trainer - Better When I'm Dancin'
MO - Final Song
Sia - The Greatest
DNCE - Toothbrush
Andy Grammer - Fresh Eyes
Bruno Mars - 24k Magic
Fifth Harmony - All In My Head (Flex)
Fifth Harmony - That's My Girl

Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault
Years & Years - Meteorite
NEIKED - Sexual
Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha - In The Name Of Love
Louisa Johnson - So Good
The Weeknd - Starboy ft. Daft Punk

AND...Olly Murs' new album '24 HRS' has finally been released so this has definitely been on repeat. I cant even give favourites because, as usual, I love them all!

I hope you guys listen to something new, maybe from this list and love it just as much as I do. If you have any music suggestions for me, feel free to leave them also in the comments. I cant think of any other songs that I have been listening to so I guess that's all! Love you lots.

Doing My Sisters Makeup!

Hey guys,

This post isn't going to be that long just because there's not that much to say for this. Basically on Saturday my sister was going out with some friends and she had asked me to do her makeup.

I can do makeup on myself but I haven't really tried it on other people, properly anyway. All in all I was impressed with myself.

I did a simple eyeshadow look, just a basic brown and a deeper brown in the outer corner and bringing it into the crease. We decided to not do any liquid liner as I thought she looked good how it was. That and the fact, she isn't really used to wearing much makeup like I am.

I also made her eyebrows look bomb af but she thought they were too thick for her so we slimmed them down. I was really shocked at the difference after I had done her eyebrows. She looked younger, I mean she doesn't look old but she looked a fair few years younger than she is. I'm trying to say this in the nicest way possible.

Also, the highlight was incredible. I always look forward to highlighting and I must say it looked amazing when it caught the light.

I think even Samantha liked it as she took a selfie (the after photo) which she never does. I mean not to toot my own horn but I did a great job for my first time doing others makeup so I'm not surprised.

It does make me sad that she doesn't see herself as beautiful because she is. With or without makeup.
<3

I think next week I may do an updated power of makeup post. I do my makeup extremely different as to what I used to and think it would be cool to compare both results. But I might even change my mind, who knows.

I guess that's all for this post.

I'm a Celebrity, first impressions - 2016

Hey guys,

As I'm sure each of you know, tonight I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' started. Last year I wrote my first impressions so I figured why not do the same again this year? It is one of my favourite shows and I cant even express how excited I was when I saw that aunt bessies advert - which I'm sure will get old very quickly...

Anyways, Carol Vordaman. I think she's a lovely and funny lady and has managed to show that already. I definitely think she is going to be the 'Mother' of the group, I mean she did have to help with the fire after all! I do think that the jungle is going to be slightly more challenging for her. She kept saying how she is 'hardcore' but the plank challenge seemed to scare her more than she thought. I know it would for me too! But good luck to her, I think she will do very well.

Larry Lamb, AKA a hero. I think he is going to be a very genuine person in the jungle. In my eyes, he should be in charge of giving orders - I forgot what they call that... He would chose the jobs that he thinks will benefit the campmate. That's just my thoughts. A considerate campmate with a funny side. Again, I think he'll do very well, especially with the trials.

Jordan Banjo, claims he is a bit of a scared-y cat, yet smashes the first challenge. He didn't actually win but he just went for it. I think he has more guts than he thought. Either that or he can hide nerves well!

Joel Dommett is absolutely hilarious. And attractive I might add. Moving on, I think he will be the dramatic one in the camp. Maybe anyways. From  the first challenge he was very apprehensive about the whole thing. But I guess most of us would at that sort of height! I can see him also being the one who always enlightens the mood when things aren't going so well for the camp mates.

Sam Quek seems so lovely. I think she is also going to be one to jump right in for the trials. Maybe even Queen of the Jungle material showing already, even if she didn't quite win the challenge. I look forward to seeing how well she actually does in the challenges and life in the camp.

These are the people that made a bigger impression on me. I love all of the camp mates this year, they're all hilarious. Scarlett Moffatt definitely made me chuckle when she did her challenge. They have all impressed me in different ways, I just don't want this post to be too long and go up too late.
The episode finished late in my defence. I will add more to this post maybe later 'today' technically now, so I actually have enough sleep to function.

I love you guys and I hope you all enjoy this series of I'm a celeb as much as I know I will!

What I did on Halloween!

Hey guys,

So this weeks post may be a little short as I am currently so tired and have the thought  of college work to do tomorrow, which is stressing me out. I would say I'm sorry but I'm not. This is my blog, and I post what I want to post whether the quality is high or low. Sometimes you're just not in the mood to do something, and that's okay. But if I missed a week I would be really mad at myself. I think this is the only thing I've ever kept up.

Anyway, in last weeks post I suggested a few things that you could have done for Halloween. It was a day before so maybe it was pointless...However I hope you all had a wonderful day doing whatever it was.

I know I had an awesome day! Lee, my mum and I had to go to the hospital for my mums eyes. I don't quite understand why but still, me and Lee sat near costa with our hot drinks and waited. We had a lovely long chat, about everything and nothing really. Also I should mention I was wearing a 'Gory' (not that gory) Alice In Wonderland costume. Tights and all. I got a good few looks, and even some compliments. One woman almost sat on Lee's lap as she was walking past because she couldn't stop looking. Haha, bless her.

Afterwards we all went back home for a quick drink and a chat before going round to Samantha's and Lee's house.

We had some lunch and then began our pumpkins. It always takes us a while to pick an idea and of course I couldn't pick so I created my own. What a mistake. Normally I would say I pretty much nail it but this year it was awful and it took me FOREVER to finish. Samantha's definitely won this year, sorry Lee. Haha. I will leave a photo below but I wont say who's is who's. Can you guess?

By the time I had finished it was already dark - my bad...- so it was time to watch films! Although for the first half an hour or so they introduced me to Modern Family. I think its hilarious! Definitely worth watching I think. While watching these Lee started on tea. We had pizza and homemade fries. The pizza was alright but the fries...JUST AMAZING. I may go as far to say better than McDonald's but I'll have to have more of both to decide! Well done Lee haha.

We decided on the first Ouija film (I don't actually know the title so sorry), I say first because the second has just been released and even I didn't know it was a sequel. This was a good film, not scary but I'd say entertaining, it had a good storyline. But I do love a jumpy horror film more.

Then we decided on The Visit. Which honestly, is hilarious and so weird. Worth the watch. Again not jumpy, but creepy. There is a huge twist at the end, which if you watch carefully you will probably see coming but I think this makes the film very interesting at the end. Which is what I look for!

Both films were good but I wouldn't say scary. Next year me and Lee are going to plan the films more so that Samantha doesn't get away with not watching a good horror and not getting nightmares. I do love my sister, promise.

Overall it was a lovely day and I very much enjoyed it. I always do. But I will definitely be back for those fries!

I think that's about it, I may have missed something but I am tired so I am going to say it's allowed. I'm sure either Samantha or Lee will tell me if I have. By the way, if you are confused as to whom Samantha and Lee are, (where have you been) Samantha is my sister and Lee is her Fiancé. To be honest I already think of him as my brother.
Glad we're caught up.

I look awful but Conan is too cute!

This is Halloween!

Hey guys,

This weeks post is going to give you some ideas (obvious or not) on what you can do on Halloween. I know Halloween is only tomorrow so hopefully you 'last-minute-planners' will at least have something.

I personally love Halloween. If that isn't completely obvious. The past couple of years, I've had a small party but this year I thought I'd have a break AKA my mum said no. I must say that it will be a bit disappointing that I wont be able to dress up this year, that's one of the best things! I may just dress up for the day time because why not?! Everyone I know have been celebrating Halloween so early. Anyway..

This year I am going round to my Sam & Lee's house (if you don't know who they are, where have you been?!) to carve pumpkins. Hopefully this year Lee wont murder a pumpkin! Hahah! I still don't know what sort of design I want to do yet though!:(. Next weeks post I may include a picture of what I ended up doing, if the topic fits in the post of course.

One thing you could do tomorrow is actually go out trick or treating. This obviously applies to the younger ones but if you want to dress up, take a younger sibling or relative/family friend etc. It also looks like you're doing a good deed so it all works out.

Granted this isn't as fun as you get older so instead you could buy some sweets for yourself, close the curtains/blinds and watch horror films. Or if you don't really like horror, you could always watch Hocus Pocus. Love that film!

If you are 18 or above, another thing you could do is go out drinking (responsibly.....) with some friends. You get to dress up - kinda, a lot just use this as an excuse to be half naked. Not that there's nothing to be ashamed of, if you love your body, great! But personally I like to be more 'scary'.

Related to this you could also have a party or 'gathering' with your friends, this way you can decorate with cool decorations, play your own music and have whoever you want there. Win Win Win. Just don't forget the alcohol! - If legal...

If you're lucky, you may live close to a Halloween themed event such as haunted walks, scare fests, etc. You could also go to one of these with a few friends. I hear they're quite good!

Another thing you could try is baking. Make everything spooky and Halloween themed. I have seen so many amazing things on Pinterest so take a look and challenge yourself!

How could I forget. You could also carve pumpkins! This is definitely one of my favourite things to do, as I have mentioned so I can imagine a lot of other people do to. You could also make this a competition and see if you or your friends/family can carve the best design.

(not my image)

I hope that this entertained you for a little while, it probably wasn't too helpful as they're all obvious but hey ho. I hope you all have a fa-BOO-lous Halloween (Hahaha I'm too funny) and watch out for those ghosts!

P.s. don't forget those Halloween songs!

Harry Potter! :Beauties on fire!

Hey guys,

I'm back, kinda. I know these are supposed to be mainly on Thursdays but it's not necessary so here I am. And for some reason it seems like forever since I've done a post, but believe it or not here's
last Sunday's: Catch up.

This weeks theme is 'Harry Potter' which I actually suggested so I obviously HAD to do this weeks.
As I am a true Ravenclaw I thought I would base my look on the colours of this house. If you want to know what house you are you can go to the Pottermore website.

I did this twice this week but the only real difference is that on one I used the NYX white liquid eyeliner and the other NYX matte black liquid liner. The rest of the products are below.

Products I used:
Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 concealer
Makeup Revolution 'Flawless' Palette
Makeup Revolution 'Eyes like Angels' palette
Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara
Rimmel white soft kohl eyeliner pencil
Soap and Glory Brow Archery tint and precision pencil
Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer
Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation
Rimmel Stay Matte setting powder
Maybelline master sculpt contouring duo
Sleek 'Solstice' palette
(Liners that are also listed above... obviously)

Eyes:

After applying primer, concealer and the shade 'Paper' from the Flawless palette I used 'Almost there' in the crease and the outer corner of my eye. To deepen this further I used the shade ' Smudge' just below the previous colour and blended this in. As the colours of the house are blue and bronze I decided to use the shade 'Aqua Dream' from the Eyes like angels palette all over my lid, and a little (I mean a little) in the crease, this is just because of my eye shape but you do what suits you best. I applied the liner and decided that the outer corners weren't as deep as I wanted so I used a little of 'Night' from the Flawless palette, just a little, make sure not to over do it and take the attention away from the blue! I hope you didn't think I forgot about the bronze... I used 'Gold digger' from the flawless palette on the inner corners and  also dragged this lightly over some of the blue - as you will hopefully see in images below. This makes the look more put together I think, more advanced maybe I don't know. Also if you wanted you could add a bit of a gold shade on top of the bronze but personally, I don't think its necessary. Don't forget to also bring the blue and bronze onto the lower lash line, so it balances out the eyes.

For the lips:

I actually liked this but hate how it looks on the photos I got. I guess the camera couldn't pick up how nice it actually looked. For those of you who don't know, you can actually use an eyeshadow as a lipstick. Crazy? I know. Use any colour of a bullet lipstick for a base, and then simply tap on the eyeshadow all of the lips. I love doing this for special looks, I haven't tried this for a long period of time but I'm sure its just like wearing a regular lipstick that transfers. I used the 'Gold digger' shade as mentioned above as this was also on the eyes. I thought by doing this it would all tie together. However if you want more of a simple and easy look you could also use Maybelline Colour sensational lipsticks in 'Rosewood Pearl' or 'Nude Embrace'.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and this look, tell me in the comments what house you're in because I'd love to know! Shout out to all of you in Ravenclaw!

2016 - College update.

Hey guys,

I bet you all love my creative and thrilling titles. I'm glad you do, obviously a lot of thought goes into them! Haha. Anyway, I have decided to do another college update, as around this time last year I did a college post so why not do another? Besides, this is also a new course so I have a whole different perspective.

So, this year I am doing Art & Design. And for a while I didn't think it was the best choice, for a career or  anything. However, I love it - already. Last year the group grew quite close, very quickly. This is different and I still like it. It's like we're all getting used to everything and getting to know one another gradually. Which obviously is my sort of style. I am trying so hard to talk more but it's so difficult! I'm not doing to bad though, I like to think that I come across as nice and that they like me. Haha, maybe, maybe they don't! Oh well. I mainly talk to a small amount of the group and they seem absolutely lovely.

All of the tutors are also so nice. One of them talks A LOT, literally, he will keep talking about nothing for an extra 15 minutes! I can't complain though because they're all good people. Although our original personal tutor hasn't been at college for a good while now so we have someone else, who I knew before the course, because he was next door to my old courses main room. Honestly I hope we can stay with this tutor, I think we all do. We've had him more than the original now so changing would only make it complicated.

The work itself is so much 'lighter' than last year - I did Creative media, in case you didn't know. Last year there was a lot to learn, in a short time. I would stay up until four in the morning completing homework for weeks. This time, we have two years and its more about exploring different art processes, art history and such. So far I've only receive little amounts of 'independent study' AKA homework. As it's now half term all I really need to do is some more book work, and take five photos. I mean, I certainly don't complain.

I really am loving it this year, its different and something I really enjoy. Although, one thing I hope I do achieve by the end of the year is talking more. Not to an annoying extent but so I'm less quiet! If you have started at college, a new course or sixth form I hope you are all settling in well and that you're enjoying it.

Also before I finish, I know that I haven't been keeping up with the #BeautiesOnFire posts, I'm truly sorry! I will be doing this weeks and maybe next weeks. I'm trying guys, promise!

Sexual Assault.

Hey guys,

So if any of you watch the news or even use social media, you will have heard the allegations made towards Donald Trump regarding sexual encounters and such.

Now I know that this debate is in America but its all over twitter recently and I just have to talk about it.

Especially the recent issue regarding his 'Locker Room Banter'. Honestly. I obviously don't know everything about the issues and what's going on but from what I've heard, I would hate to have to vote right now.

A clip was released when he was on some sort of bus admitting that he 'just starts kissing attractive women' or something along those lines, and that he can't help himself or whatever. How in anyone's mind is that okay. I mean if people are getting to know each other, sure they go in for a sneaky kiss and that's that. If the other person isn't comfortable that's discussed (usually). But with they way the clip was, he meant in general.

A few people have arisen and spoken about encounters that they've experienced, such as him walking into a fashion show (or a similar environment) when not everyone was decent - as young as 15 years. I think he denied (not too sure), but why would so many people speak up now, at such a critical stage or whatever, for it to be a false allegation? Why risk getting such publicity to then have a possibility to get hate? I know obviously this does happen but I just don't see why so many people would all stand together if there were nothing to stand up for. Does that make any sense? Maybe.

The subject everywhere seems to be sexual assault and honestly it almost scares me. Someone in my area has just been proven 'Not guilty' and honestly I haven't even kept up with that story so I don't know all the facts and such - hence why I'm not mentioning names. But, I've seen a lot of people say that it's good he's finally been cleared and that everyone should go hate on the woman who made the allegation. But how is that fair? I do think that if someone does lie about such a sensitive subject, they should have some sort of punishment. Only if there are actual facts to back them up though. I guess.

I mean, For a man or woman it is hard to prove rape or sexual assault even occurred. Many cases end up being 'Not Guilty' and fair enough, a lot will be innocent but again, a lot will also get away with it. I'm guessing from lack of evidence. What sort of evidence can you realistically give? I know if you report it straight away they can get DNA or something but what if he/she is too afraid to leave in such a hurry? If it was rape in the first place, you wouldn't really risk getting hurt again so soon would you? So if you were to wait a few days, weeks, years or so how can you prove it? You cant. And then scumbags get away with such things. And even leave mental scars on victims.

It really disgusts me. However, in no way am I saying the Above person who was found not guilty did in fact do it, I'm just using it as an example. Although I did read somewhere that he felt obligated to have sex with someone. How?! Anyway...

I do hope I haven't offended anyone with my views as I know this is a very sensitive subject. I also would like to say that there may be something I mentioned that isn't in fact true, but it is what I have read online/newspapers. The whole subject freaks me out. I am determined to not be scared to walk alone at night, to not have to use an app to make sure I get home safe. To not feel violated because men (well known or not) think it's okay to treat woman in such a disgusting way. - Obviously this happens to men but talking from my point of view. -

If you have been through something, don't be ashamed to tell someone, like your parents. I saw a hashtag on twitter relating to why women don't to speak up. 1. being that they are ashamed. Don't be, someone will support you whether you press charges or not. You're parents won't be ashamed of you, they will protect you.

Sexual assault shouldn't be okay. Anywhere, or with anybody.
